Margaret Hodge, the Minister of State for Culture, Media & Sport will be giving a speech at this month's London Games Festival, as part of the ELSPA annual general meeting.

Hodge will outline the government's position on the videogame industry and also take part in a Q&A session with attendees.

"We are thrilled that Margaret Hodge will be attending this yearâs ELSPA AGM," said Paul Jackson, director general of ELSPA.

"Her attendance lends further weight to the opinion that the government is continuing to recognise the huge cultural and financial impact video and computer games enjoy."

The AGM takes place October 22 at The Royal Society of Medicine. ELSPA will be hosting a forum before Hodge's speech, aiming to highlight the issues of negative press and detailing how the organisation deals with the government.
