Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge, the real-time military strategy game by GFI and Morphicon, releases in the UK today. Step into the combat boots of a mercenary commander contracted to overthrow the ruthless dictator of The Diamond Shores in deepest, darkest Africa. The funding for your mission comes from an anonymous and secretive source with their own agenda. However, your main concern is hiring your mercenaries and planning your tactics for the planned coup d’état.
Hand pick your mercenary squad from a range of available hired guns. Select soldiers who will bring complementary skills to your team and who haven’t fought against each other on opposing sides in the past. Success in your mission depends on having the correct balance of fighting and support skills in your units, lack either and your mission may fail. Wars can’t be won without weapons, so you will also need to ensure that you buy the correct weapons and adequate ammunition before and during your campaign. Use the Global Map to oversee your military operations and manage your captured map sectors, mercenaries and finances.
