High Voltage appoints new development director

The Conduit developer promotes lead programmer to senior role

High Voltage Software, developer of Wii exclusive The Conduit, have announced the appointment of Anthony Glueck as the studio's new development director.

The internally promoted Glueck will manage the studio's programming department and Advanced Technology Group, after having held the role of lead programmer on a number of previous High Voltage projects - beginning with 2001's Hunter: The Reckoning.

Although previously a work-for-hire studio collaborating with many different publishers, High Voltage has recently concentrated on creating original intellectual properties for the Wii, most notably the high profile but critically mauled The Conduit.

The studio will make further use of its propriety Quantum 3 Game Engine for the Wii with future titles The Gladiator A.D., Animales de la Muerte and The Grinder.

For years, I have admired Anthony’s drive for excellence and commitment to quality. I am very excited to have him fill such an important role at the company," said Kerry J. Ganofsky, CEO and founder of High Voltage.

"I have worked side by side with Anthony for years. His experience, attention to detail, and management skills make him ideal to fill this position and help us advance our goals of creating the uppermost quality game," said Eric Nofsinger, CCO at High Voltage.
