HellKid

Independent game developer, JUSTNINE, has finally released “HellKid” to the App Store. In HellKid you play Devi, a devil fascinated with the idea of humans and their humanity, and you are determined to become one yourself! To prepare you for your quest you must first seek out an old evil sorcerer of the underworld, who doesn't find humanity particularly encouraging and advises you not to pursue your dream. Devilish are you are, you ignore all common sense, and off you go on your adventure!

HellKid is at its core a conventional 2D side-scrolling platform game, but with a lot of added twists and features. As Devi, your objective is to collect enough souls in your quest to become human! Souls come in various colors such as golden and blue, and each of the 12 levels with increasing difficulty contains more than 50 patterns to master. The levels are randomized making it even harder, but more fun, to progress through the underworld, and to avoid dangerous pits and bottomless abysses you have at your disposal a “hook”, similar to games such as the classic Bionic Commando™ giving you the ability to swing across! HellKid also has 38 achievements to be unlocked, and an endless (extremely hard mode of play) aptly named “Valley Of Despair”. Other features include leader-boards, the ability to submit scores to Facebook and Twitter, and the option to play music from your personal music library. The game supports English, Korean, Japanese, French, Russian and German!
