Hein leaves Koch for THQ

THQ Inc has appointed Marko Hein to a newly-created role of general manager for THQ International GmbH.

THQ Inc has appointed Marko Hein to a newly-created role of general manager for THQ International GmbH.

The job, based in Zurich, will give him responsibility for looking into new opportunities outside of North America, as well as management of the Zurich office which deals with product evaluation.

Hein was previously the director of acquisition and development at Koch Media, and before that he spent 12 years at Nintendo Europe in strategy, product analysis and acquisition.

His new boss, senior vice president of global marketing Bob Aniello, commented: "Marko brings a broad and deep range of experience to this new position. I am confident that he will play a vital role in monetising our content and driving growth through new product and licensing opportunities."

THQ has published a number of well known film franchise titles, including Finding Nemo and The Incredibles, as well as the more traditional titles Saints Row, WWE SmackDown vs Raw, Supreme Commander and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.
