The winners have been announced for the 25th annual Golden Joystick Awards, with Gears of War taking the prize for Game of the Year.
Epic's shooter also won the Xbox Game of the Year, Editor's Choice, and Nuts All-Nighter awards.

The awards, organised by UK media publisher Future, were selected by the public in open voting that began in July. Last year, over half a million votes were cast.
