GCDC 2008 OPENS CALL FOR PAPERS

Europe's Most Important Game Development Conference, GCDC, Has Begun Accepting Speaker Submissions

Leipzig, Germany - February 1, 2008 - GC Developers Conference has opened its call for papers. From now until April 30, prominent members of the games, IT, and movie industries can submit speaking proposals, covering market insights, overviews, trends and introductions of new technologies as well as real world development knowledge. The conference takes place at the Leipziger Messe in Leipzig, Germany, from August 18-20, 2008, uniting game developers, publishers, and scientists from all over the world to share ideas and network.

The main topics of the upcoming GCDC are online games, casual games, and the latest server technologies. The organizers are looking for presentations and workshops in the fields of development, business and science. In the area of business development, sessions will focus on financing, international project management, and new business models. "Next to developers from Europe, we have addressed developers in North America. The new GCDC program will also address topics and trends of the Asian game industry," said Frank Sliwka, project director of GCDC and GC Asia Conference (GCAC). Immediately following GCDC, the GC - Games Convention, Europe's benchmark fair for interactive entertainment, infotainment and edutainment, begins on August 20.

GCDC 2007 Retrospective

In 2007, GCDC in Leipzig was attended by over 900 attendees from 35 countries.
