LEIPZIG, Germany and SINGAPORE - December 17, 2009 – LMI Leipziger Messe International (LMI), the organizer of GCA Games Convention Asia, today announced that its fourth convention for interactive entertainment and digital media will take place September 8-12, 2010 in Singapore. This time the convention will take place over five days with three days dedicated to the conference. September 8th, the first conference day, is reserved for the second D.I.C.E. Summit Asia organized by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. The GCA Conference then takes place from September 9-10. The Business Area combined with the Business Matching is open alongside the conference from September 8-10, 2010.

The exhibition where local and international exhibitors show their latest computer and video games, hardware, software and accessories will be open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 10-12, 2010.

Summit Asia and the GCA Conference has proven to us that a developer conference is not just wanted, but also needed in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Jorg Zeissig, Managing Director of LMI Asia. “By extending the conference for an extra day, we can ensure that all relevant business topics, from Art & Design to Business Development, Technology and Production are covered and the schedule is convenient for attendees.”

In 2009, more than 650 delegates attended keynote sessions and panel discussions offered by more than 50 international speakers. Over the course of four days, 102,500 visitors came to see the latest in video and computer games in the exhibition hall.

The GCA consists of four pillars: the GCA Conference, the Business area, the Matchmaking area and the public exhibition with regional game tournaments and various stage programs. Discussions have begun with all relevant industry representatives, organizations and government associations in the region to ensure an even more suc-cessful GCA 2010.
