Leipziger Messe drops Singapore event owing to "overall currently prevailing economic situation".

GCA Games Convention Asia

GCA Conference (GCAC)

Leipzig, 19 March 2010

In view of the overall currently prevailing economic situation, Leipziger Messe is withdrawing from its involvement with the GC Asia. “It is a regrettable, but necessary decision”, says the managing director of LMI Asia, subsidiary of Leipziger Messe International (LMI), Jörg Zeissig. “We will continue to keep an eye on the Asian games market so that we can pick up again with new concepts if this becomes appropriate.”

The GCA Asia and its accompanying developers conference was held in Singapore from 2007 to 2009. The most recent event registered 80 exhibitors and 102,500 visitors.
