GC Asia announces expanded 2010 dates

Additional conference day added as DICE Summit Asia also returns for another year

Leipziger Messe International has announced the dates for next year's Games Convention Asia, which will take place from September 8-12 in Singapore.

For next year there will be an additional conference day, to allow the one-day, one-track DICE Summit to return on the first day, followed by two days of GCA Conference sessions.

Additionally the business and matchmaking areas will be open from September 8-10, while the public exhibition will run from September 10-12.

"This year's success of the symbiosis between the DICE Summit Asia and the GCA Conference has proven to us that a developer conference is not just wanted, but also needed in the Asia-Pacific region," said Jorg Zeissig, MD of LMI Asia. "By extending the conference for an extra day, we can ensure that all relevant business topics, from Art & Design to Business Development, Technology and Production are covered and the schedule is convenient for attendees."

And Joseph Olin, president of AIAS, added: "The Academy is thrilled to continue its partnership with LMI Asia for DICE Summit Asia in 2010. We look forward to having our leading game-makers participate in a forum that reflects the dynamic nature of interactive entertainment from the Asia-Pacific region,"

This year's inaugural DICE Summit Asia attracted some key talent to discuss the creative issues of the day, including Sony's Yasuhide Kobayashi, Wizet Studio's Eundo Chae, NanaOn-Sha's Masaya Matsuura and Gas Powered Games' Chris Taylor.
