Garratt launches new gaming news site

Patrick Garratt, former publisher for Eurogamer Network, has launched a new website dedicated to gaming news.

Patrick Garratt, former publisher for Eurogamer Network, has launched a new website dedicated to gaming news.

The site, videogaming247.com, intends to focus on global gaming news and will cover both consumer and trade stories.

"Launching this site is incredibly exciting for me," commented Garratt.

"I believe videogaming247.com will plug an obvious gap in the UK games editorial market, skirting a depressing trend in me-tooist website releases from Britain's content publishers in recent years.

"If you're a dedicated consumer or member of the games trade and youâre sick of candy-sweet editorial, late news and naïve industry views, videogaming247.com will quickly become a staple of your bookmark list," he said.

As well as holding senior positions with Eurogamer Network, Garratt has also worked on editorial projects for Future Publishing, EMAP, Dennis Publishing and Computec Media.
