Philadelphia, PA----October 21, 2009— GameX (Games & Media Expo), October 23-25, 2009, in Oaks, PA, today announced Ubisoft as one of its latest major game publisher exhibitors, joining SEGA and Electronic Arts. As a GameX exhibitor, Ubisoft will give attendees a sneak peek at its new releases and allow gaming enthusiasts to play demos of Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage on the Wii and Imagine Fashion World Tour, Imagine Babyz Fashion, Petz Nursery, Petz Dolphinz Encounter, Style Lab Makeover and Style Lab Jewelry Design on DS.

Additionally, Ubisoft is scheduled to offer several new games during QVC’s live broadcast from the event on Saturday, October 24 at 2 PM (ET). During the Gifts for Gamers – Live from GameX show, QVC shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase a choice of two DSI bundles, Imagine – Fashion World Tour & Stylelab Jewelry Maker and Avatar & Battle of Giants Dragons.

“We are thrilled that Ubisoft will be a part of this exciting show,” said John Kelly, vice president of merchandising for QVC. “Not only does Ubisoft lend great brand recognition to the broadcast but it also offers our customers access to some of the most-anticipated game releases this season.”

Jennifer Halpin, executive vice president of show production for GameX, adds, “GameX, by design, is built on the premise that major media and entertainment companies are seeking to build their brands— and need to bridge the distance that remains open to consumers. With QVC's ability to reach a broad audience, the collaboration between QVC and Ubisoft, the nation’s fourth largest games publisher, is a monumental example of the symbiosis that is taking effect this holiday season at our convention. We are thrilled to usher this innovation, as a sign of an ongoing commitment to our growing space.”

GameX has quickly ramped up to be a high-visibility entertainment, tech and media show with games as its main attraction. GameX features games-focused exhibits and demos from companies such as Electronic Arts (Dante’s Inferno and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning) and SEGA (BAYONETTA), as well as pop culture elements such as advance film and TV screenings and trailers from SyFy Channel and Lionsgate, celebrity guest appearances, high-stakes game tournaments from Alienware and iGames, live video game music, robotics demonstrations, cosplay, video game comedy improv, animation festival and competitive steampunk art exhibit, and much more.
