Gamestation's Midnight PlayStation 3 Launch Packs Punches

Gamers collected their Playstation3 consoles last night from Gamestation stores across the country

Over 200 of Gamestation's stores hosted exciting midnight openings last night to celebrate the launch of the eagerly awaited Playstation3 console. Thousands of gamers queued up outside the video games store to collect their new 60GB Playstation3 consoles that also allow gamers to watch films with Blue-Ray technology and plug in their MP3 players to browse and play tracks.

There are still plenty of the consoles available from Gamestation stores, with prices starting from £425. The powerful new games console comes with a stellar launch line-up of over 30 game titles, including Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Genji: Days of the Blade, Formula One Championship Edition and Ridge Racer 7.

Jorden Jones, Product Manager, said "Last night's openings were a great success and we have teamed up with Sony to provide exciting 'Concept Zones' in some of our stores - allowing gamers to get to grips with this next generation console, proving yet again that Gamestation is THE destination for gamers."

All Sony Playstation3 products are available from Gamestation stores nationwide or online at www.gamestation.co.uk
