GameSide Network Launches Second Issue of "The Art of Gaming" Online Magazine

Gaming and Entertainment network releases second issue of the free online magazine about art and gaming; teams up with Joystick Junkies to offer prizes and discounts.

Sacramento, CA, USA, July 24th, 2006 - GameSide Network ( http://www.gameside.org), a company that has a network of websites that focus on Gaming and Technology, launches the second issue of the free online magazine, The Art of Gaming, which focuses on the art of video game graphics, gameplay, and features artwork from the gaming community.

The debut issue of The Art of Gaming, which launched in June 2006, has amassed over 4,000 downloads to date. The second issue features the popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft.

The Art of Gaming pays tribute to the art and/or gameplay from the games of the past and present. Each issue features a particular game or brand features artwork created by gamers, as well as questions and comments submitted by gamers.

The Art of Gaming has also teamed up with Joystick Junkies, a British fashion label which designs clothing based on iconic video games art, to offer readers an exclusive 10% off of Joystick Junkies apparel. Readers will also learn how this UK-based company came to be with an interview with Chris Birch from Joystick Junkies. In addition, readers have a chance to win free prizes such as Joystick Junkies apparel by writing into the magazine.

Chris Birch said, "fashion labels across the world struggle to find new ideas and themes for each season, we're fortunate to have such a wonderful world of inspiring imagery that reminds us of classic gaming moments. So it's great to team up with a magazine that celebrates the very art that is so vital to our fashion range and we fully support the work they are doing to enrich video games culture."

As with the first issue, The Art of Gaming #2 will also contain reviews of classic games, interviews, general video game information, gamer profiles. The second issue will also sport a new look that improves on the content and layout of the first issue.

"The Art of Gaming will continue to grow with each issue and we appreciate our comments and suggestions that we receive from readers" says GameSide Network's CEO, Lachelle Talbot-Thomas. "We also want to keep encouraging artists to send in their work, this is your chance to not only contribute to a subject you love, but to also get some major recognition. We are also constantly on the look out to feature community gaming websites, so if you run a site that has to do with an upcoming issue, tell us!"
