GamesAid Charity Poker Tournament

£3,500 raised for deserving causes.

London, 20th July 2010 – GamesAid, a UK games industry charity for children and young people, is proud to confirm it has raised £3,500 from the third annual charity poker tournament, held at the Develop Conference in Brighton. Sponsored and organised by Relentless Software and GamesAid Ambassador, Mark Ward from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

This year’s tournament took place on the evening of Tuesday 13th July at the Grosvenor Casino in Brighton, and was attended by more than 60 members of the games industry. The winners were as follows: first place went to Glenn Broadway from Metismo, second place to Lee Hutchinson from Double Eleven, third place to Simon Barratt from Four Door Lemon, fourth place to Dan Marchant from Obscure Consultancy, and fifth place to Miles Jacobson from Sports Interactive.

Andy Payne, Chairman of GamesAid said “we are extremely grateful to the sponsors for organising this event every year. It’s become a real highlight in the GamesAid fund rising calendar.”
