Games Industry Recruitment Update

PROGRAMMERS

If you're an experienced programmer thinking of a move overseas, one of Australia's leading developers - based in the city of Adelaide - is seeking five Programmers to work on two cross platform titles on PS2, Xbox and PC. A background in critically acclaimed titles and a good degree in Computer Science would be preferred.[More Info]

A major UK developer based in North London is seeking an experienced Lead PS2 Programmer with good low level experience of the system, and a hunger for new technology - as the successful candidate will be groomed to head up PS3 development in time.[More Info]

This respected developer, based on the South Coast, is seeking a Senior 3D programmer who's expert in 3D graphics, with strong C++ and good console experience, to work on a high profile film license.[More Info]

A quality developer with a great track record of hit titles, based in Scotland, is seeking a number of Experienced Programmers with at least five years industry experience on at least two released titles. PS2 or other next gen experience is a must, and applications are welcome from both engine and gameplay programmers.[More Info]

This relaxed and friendly company based in the south west of the country is looking for a Multiplayer Programmer with experience of Client-Server multiplatform networking code, several years experience of working on multiplayer games, and ideally a degree at level 2:1 or above.[More Info]

ARTISTS

Based in the North West, this company has a 13 year history of producing games on 3D and 2D platforms, and is seeking two Maya Animators to join the team. Excellent animation skills are a must, and the role will involve animating human-style characters and producing cut-scene animations.[More Info]

Rather further afield, an Indian games developer based in Bangalore is seeking talented artists to join the team on a 12 month basis to provide guidance for existing staff and assist in the shaping of a project. 3D Artists to work on a vehicle based title are required at first, and experience in 3D Studio Max is a must. No work permit for employment in India is required.[More Info]

A development studio in Oxford is seeking a Softimage Level Modeller with an eye for detail who'll be up to speed in Softimage and able to work under pressure to a high standard. Photoshop skills are also required. Graduates with a strong portfolio are preferred.[More Info]

GAMES / LEVEL DESIGN

A Scottish developer with a track record of working with major publishers is seeking a Mission Scripter to work on PS2 third persn action game on a 3 to 4 month contract. Candidates must have a background in game development, and programming or MOD creation experience is helpful but not essential.[More Info]

A London-based console game development company is seeking a Lead Designer with at least four years experience and at least 2 publisher console titles. Senior or Lead and team management experience is required, and the role is for someone who will be leading a team, so being proactive rather than reactive is essential.[More Info]
