Games Convention Online 2010

Next year's event in Leipzig scheduled for July 8th-11th.

GAMES CONVENTION ONLINE

(8 - 11 July 2010)

Leipzig, 24 November 2009

The next GAMES CONVENTION ONLINE will be held in Leipzig from 8 to 11 July 2010. This brings forward the industry's benchmark fair for browser, client and mobile games by three weeks compared to the previous year. In addition, the fair adds an extra day. Trade visitors will already be able to use the Business Center as from Thursday and it then stays open up through till and all day Saturday. The general public area presents extensive gaming options from Friday to Sunday.

"This is our response to the specific request of the industry which at the launch event had to deal with a large number of business talks in the shortest possible time", explains Silvana Kürschner, Global Strategy Director GC Global. "The extra day is intended to give business customers more scope and time to initiate and conclude business deals and for their business matching and networking activities", according to Kürschner.

The world's first ever trade fair for browser, client and mobile games brought a total of 43,000 gamers to Leipzig for its premiere. Altogether 74 exhibitors from eight countries introduced themselves on 40,000 square metres of display space. The games on show included 50 world and European premieres. The Republic of Korea was the national partner at the first GCO.
