Games Collectors Flock to Collectica.com

CHICAGO - February 28, 2007 - The wait is over for Gamesters and Collectors looking for a way to organize and share their collections on-line. Collectica.com brings together like-minded collectors, from Games Collectors in Philadelphia to Movie Memorabiliasts in Florida, from comic book fans in New York to numismatics in Denver. Collectica's community, recently launched by a team of entrepreneurs from the University of Chicago, offers its members free collection software and the ability to upload photos of their collections.

Members put their photos on-line and share them with friends, family and fellow collectors from anywhere in the world.

The Collectica website features a celebrities page that currently showcases THE FRAG DOLLS. Fans can already get the inside scoop on these expert collectors from biography and interview material available exclusively on Collectica.com. Collectica also features collections from museums and research libraries.

"Collectica's goal is to create a global collectors' community," said Collectica president Michael Dworecki, "our free software and easy-to-use collection management tools will make it simple for collectors to share information and post photos of the objects they are most passionate about." In addition to collection management software, Collectica.com also offers social networking tools such as clubs, blogs, forums, and news and event information to allow collectors to come together and discuss topics of interest. The club feature is unique in that it offers the traditional collector clubs exciting new opportunities to enhance club activities and increase membership participation.

Collectica.com is a premier resource for collectors of all genres, including antiques, comics, toys, coins, stamps, dolls, TV and film memorabilia, automobiles, vinyl, and vintage clothing. "Collectors form communities naturally," said Dworecki, "and it's about time they've gathered on the internet."

About Collectica: Collectica.com is community for collectors. Collectica's free collection management software allows collectors to organize their collections and share them on-line with friends, family and fellow collectors from anywhere in the world.
