April 23 2010: Announcing the redesign and relaunch of Gamekicker.com, a video gaming news submission website covering all aspects of the video game industry and gaming platforms. Gamekicker.com is aimed at video game websites, blog owners, gamers and game related companies who wish to share their video game news stories, articles, videos and trailers with like minded people. Gamekicker.com is a digg style news submission directory where video game related news and articles are submitted and shared by gamers for other gamers. Unlike a number of competitor websites, Gamekicker.com has no editors or fanboys policing and deleting submissions, so everything posted to Gamekicker.com gets to fight it's own battles and stand on it's own merits, or not.
With the redesign comes a number of new features to help gamers better navigate the website and manage their video game news intake.
A Twitter like "Follow" feature give the user the ability to follow other users who continually post interesting news and articles. Filtering out the submissions by users they are not interested in. New "Hot Stories" and "Weeks Top Stories" sections track user traffic, select and feature news stories that are trending on the site. Gamekicker.com is also now supported by iPhone and Android video game news apps. that feed directly from the live Gamekicker.com website and update on demand. Both currently available from the iTunes store and Android marketplace for free.
