GameGavel Europe

Games auction site launches offshoot.

Orange County, CA (PR) – May 10, 2010 GameGavel.com, the premier video gaming dedicated auction site since March 2008, has just launched GameGavel Europe, http://www.GameGavel.co.uk to offer European gamers a less-expensive auction alternative to Ebay. GameGavel Founder, Mike Kennedy says, “Ever since we launched GameGavel here in the USA, European gamers have been asking for us to open a European site. And since Europe accounted for the third highest visitor rate on GameGavel, behind USA and Canada, it seemed like a great move”.

GameGavel.co.uk was launched last week and has already started to fill up with some auctions. Mike wants to stress that, just like GameGavel, it will take a few months to a year to really get the ball rolling. “People need to understand that we can’t start from square one with a critical mass of buyers and sellers. We need everyone who believes we need an alternative to Ebay to step up, join and list or bid on some items.”

There are many benefits of using GameGavel over Ebay. First are the no listing fee auctions and significantly less expensive selling/final value fees. Free seller homepages, free bulk-uploader, community member forums and retro gaming radio stations and podcasts round out this smorgasbord of gaming goodness. And best of all for sellers, each day GameGavel feeds all fixed price and buy-now listings into Google Shopping, bringing in a great deal of exposure for their listings. Mike adds, “The same formulas for growing GameGavel USA are in place for GameGavel Europe so it will only be a matter of time before it reaches the same level of success.”
