GameGavel.com acquisition

Game auction site acquired by rival ChaseTheChuckwagon.com.

Orange County, CA (PR) - April 16, 2009

In what can only be described in this day of billion-dollar buy-outs, as a “buyout among mice”, leading video gaming auction house ChaseTheChuckwagon.com acquired struggling video game auction site GameGavel.com for an undisclosed amount. In an effort to gain footage of the modern day gamer and diversify its member base, Founder of ChaseTheChuckwagon.com Mike Kennedy explains, “The name GameGavel.com is a much more certifiably universal name for a gaming auction site than the rare Atari 2600 game we are currently named after.” Mike plans on co-branding the site using both names for the foreseeable future and as Mike says, “Just pick the name you like and go with it.”

To date ChaseTheChuckwagon.com is the leading website auction house dedicated to the gaming community. Since launching a little over a year ago, it has surprised critics and has now surpassed 100,000 auction listings and has sold nearly $90,000 in merchandise. With over 2,200 members and growing by the tune of 175-200 new members each month, it won’t be long before word gets out about this very welcome Ebay auction alternative for gamers.
