GameCity Squared

Next month's event in Nottingham to include Indiecade Europe exhibition of up-and-coming developers.

9th September 2009. Nottingham, UK. For the past three years with Indiecade Europe, GameCity has been dedicated to offering a platform to the most exciting, innovative and provocative new videogames and their creators.

This year GameCity Squared is going to take that commitment even further!

The awesome Indiecade Europe exhibition will be returning to the show for a third triumphant year. Established in 2007, this juried exhibition features only the very best in Indie work from around the globe. “Indiecade Europe is an essential part of the GameCity programme, and we’re thrilled to be able to welcome the show back again this year for the exclusive European exhibition”, said GameCity director Iain Simons.

“Our annual trip to Europe is one of the highlights of the Indiecade year and for 2009 the show is better than ever”, opined Indiecade President Stephanie Barish. “They’re a juried selection from Indiecade’s annual competition and draw on worked from Asia, Europe, as well as North and South America."

Not content with being a curious corner of the festival, this year a united republic of Indie is being declared with the establishing of a brand new IndieVillage - situated right in the heart of the Market Square and the festival arena. The GameCity IndieVillage will feature the complete Indiecade Europe expo, the finest quality coffee (and cake), heat, light, the IndieSalon for impromtu show’n’tells and a comfy hospitality area to play, demo and talk about the most interesting games - old and new. It’s more than just an indie show - it’s the social centre of daytime at GameCity.

Help us put the IndieVillage on the gaming map - if you’re an Indie developer wanting a platform to show your game to the game-curious public, get in touch TODAY at www.gamecity.org.

GameCity runs from 27 - 31 October, 2009. www.gamecity.org
