GameCity

Series of after-dark monthly events to be staged in Nottingham for developers, students and gamers.

25th February, 2010. 19:30. Antenna, Nottingham.

GameCity and Antenna are proud to announce the launch of a new series of brilliant shows, bringing some GameCity magic to the rest of the year.

GameCityNights is a series of after-dark monthly events which bring together developers, students and players in a celebration and exploration of videogame culture - with prizes. Every month a brilliant headline speaker will be making their way to the illustrious Antenna club in Nottingham City, to share their thoughts, passions and give a unique insight into their work.

Our inaugural GameCity Night features the splendid and outstanding Hello Games, creators of the much-anticipated IGF nominated thrill-fest ‘Joe Danger’. They will be sharing secrets, anecdotes and show’n’telling this brilliant new game and they *might* even let you play…

“We’re incredibly excited to be making the pilgrimage to GameCity to come and show what we’ve been up to with Joe Danger at the very first GameCityNight!”, said Sean Murray, MD of Hello Games. “In these faithless times, it’s only through events like these that we can really start to make sense of it all. I can’t wait!”

But not only that!

Alongside them will be a full supporting bill, featuring some of the best up-and-coming talent from the region, a delicious selection of round snacks and the most challenging table-quiz ever seen during a post-war government.

This is your chance to quite literally come to Nottingham and talk about videogames.
