Game Investment Conference East

Developers and investors to chew the fat in New York this April.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, Texas – Feb. 04, 2010 – Investors seeking to sort out the direction of the game industry over the next couple of years and developers looking to raise capital for their projects and studios should attend Game Path’s Game Investment Conference East (GIC East) Wednesday, April 28 at the Hudson Hotel in New York. Top industry speakers will provide insight on the future of digital distribution, social games and the viability of new platforms. Analysts will also recommend funding strategies for the new decade.

The one-day event will offer two tracks, one aimed at investors and one for game studio executives:

• Market Overview/Segmentation

• Hot Categories: Casual games 3.0: Social Games

• What’s Happening in Digital Distribution

• Investment models (revenue streams)

• Industry Projections by Segment

• Walkthrough [Funding Process Overview]

• Show Me the Money [Various Financing Strategies]

• Making Your Case [What Investors Want to Hear]

• IP Protection [What You Need to Know to Protect your Investment]

• Case Studies [4 different studios]

In the evening, conference attendees can preview technology and game demos (Demo Night) from companies currently looking to raise funds. It’s an opportunity to see the next Pocket God or FarmVille – before it becomes a multimillion property. Developers interested in participating in demo night are encouraged to register early due to space constraints.

A Game Pitch session will also let investors get an early look at promising projects from studios currently seeking funding. Interested parties can email their submission to Steve Farrer, Director at steve@gamepathevents.com.
