GAME announces new finance director

GAME has announced the appointment of Ben White to the role of group finance director, following the departure of David Thomas to Barratt Developments.

White, who currently holds the post of group reporting and investor relations director, will be appointed to the board at the company's AGM on July 2, according to a statement.

"I am delighted to welcome Ben to the board as group finance director," said chairman Peter Lewis. "He brings invaluable experience from his variety of senior financial roles within the Group and elsewhere."

And CEO Lisa Morgan added: "Ben's comprehensive knowledge and understanding of our business will be of great value to the board. He has built an excellent reputation both internally and externally during his time with the Group, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with him in his new role as we build on the success of our business."

GAME's share price currently sits at 196.75 pence, down 1.5 per cent on the day so far.
