Galaxy on Fire

Fishlabs' 3D space adventure coming to the Zeebo console.

- for immediate publication –

Hamburg, Germany, 29 September 2009 – From the Java mobile to the iPhone and now the Zeebo: the multi-award-winning outer space adventure Galaxy on Fire™ will be available for the Zeebo system in Brazil in October with its hero Keith T. Maxwell, breathtaking 3D graphics, over 20 hours of game play, and a loyal fan community of over a million players. With that, FISHLABS is the first German developer to port a game to the Zeebo and thus open up the growth markets in Brazil and many other regions around the world.

In Galaxy on Fire™, players join battle in a gigantic galaxy with hundreds of planets and space stations against the aggressive alien Vossk as a mercenary in the Terran forces. After first proving their skills doing dirty work, players are soon offered escort and combat missions. Using the trading system, captured goods can be used to equip the player's ship with dozens of different weapons, shields, and drives. Over the course of the story, which is underscored with lots of dialogue and animated 3D cutscenes, players will continually encounter shady characters, who will offer sometimes dubious, sometimes extremely lucrative missions. In the new survival mode, players must hold out as long as possible against a horde of enemy fighters. For every enemy destroyed, players receive points and new energy, while combos earn a lot more points.

'A FISHLABS game will appear on a console for the very first time with Galaxy on Fire™ on the Zeebo. This development proves that we have more than met our quality requirement of developing high-quality mobile games with a console feeling,' says Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment. 'Thanks to the Zeebo opportunity, with its unbeatable price-performance ration and the download over the 3G network, high-quality video games can now be introduced in growth markets such as Brazil.'

'Galaxy on Fire™ from FISHLABS is one of the few mobile brands which has succeeded in holding its own across platforms,' comments Mike Yuen, SVP of content & services for Zeebo, Inc. 'With its deep game play and cool 3D graphics, this action game is a welcome addition to our catalog of games, and we look forward to consumers enjoying many hours of fun with it.'
