FISHLABS' iPhone/iPad sci-fi adventure features a storyline by creative writing outfit Pure Square Go.

ENGLAND, UK, 25TH MAY 2010: Having recently announced a full redevelopment of its flagship title Galaxy on Fire 2, celebrated Hamburg-based developer FISHLABS has teamed up with creative writing specialist, Pure Square Go, to handle the redevelopment of the game’s epic sci-fi storyline.
“From the start it has been very important for us that Galaxy on Fire 2 becomes the premium title in the iPhone and iPad’s sci-fi adventure realm, and we are therefore putting every aspect of its development under the microscope,” says Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment. “The story is an essential part of the experience, so it’s vital that it receives as much attention as every other aspect of the Galaxy on Fire 2 iPhone and iPad adaptation.”
The game follows the continuing story of heroic adventurer Keith T. Maxwell, who is thrown into the future after a hyperdrive malfunction. The galaxy is now facing a new threat as an unknown enemy uses wormhole technology to raid surrounding systems.
Old friends and new allies come to Keith’s aid as he takes on this powerful threat, and all new scenes will be added to the iPhone and iPad adaptation to further enrich the game’s grand story.
“FISHLABS created a great character in Keith T. Maxwell, and established a fertile mythology in the galaxy he explores,” says Pure Square Go co-founder Spanner Spencer. “Our challenge as the writers on Galaxy on Fire 2 is to tell Keith’s action-packed story through the gameplay as well as through in-game dialogue and scripting, and bring that rich, galactic mythology to life. We want to create a narrative that’s as entertaining as Galaxy on Fire 2’s outstanding gameplay.”
Galaxy on Fire 2 is currently in its alpha build for iPhone, iPad and high-definition Nokia devices and is scheduled for launch towards the end of 2010.
