Former Ubisoft vet to head Bruckheimer's games business

Jay Cohen to kick start joint venture with MTV

Jay Cohen, former senior vice president at Ubisoft, is to head up Jerry Bruckheimer and MTVs videogame business.

The appointment is expected to kick start the venture, which was originally announced last year, but has since remained quiet.

Variety speculates that Bruckheimer is interested in working on original properties, rather than established franchises such as CSI and Pirates of the Caribbean, which are already licensed to publishing partners.
