Former iFone exec joins Telcogames

Enda Carey becomes chief marketing officer

Mobile games developer, publisher and distributor Telcogames has appointed former iFone employee Enda Carey as the company's new chief marketing officer.

Carey worked at Sony Computer Entertainment before taking on the role of marketing director at iFone, which has been rated the No. 1 UK publisher by ELSPA for the past two years. The company was purchased by Glu Mobile earlier this year.

In his new role, Carey will oversee Telcogames' next phase of growth, and will promote the publisher's existing catalogue of Java games as well as forthcoming titles.

"The smartphone market is just about to explode, so right now seems like the perfect time to join the team here at Telcogames," Carey commented.

"As the Java marketplace becomes saturated and commoditised, and handsets become more sophisticated, users will naturally gravitate to better games and smartphone native titles allow that.

"Telcogames, with their great mixture of Java catalogue and cutting edge smartphone games, are perfectly placed to take advantage of these two increasingly diverse markets," he concluded.
