Casual developers invited to upload their free-to-play games and wait for the revenue to roll in.

Release date: 10th April 2008

3RD sense have completed work on the beta version of the new Fizzy Developer Portal on Fizzy.com. Casual game developers can start uploading their Free to Play web games and their try/buy download games and start earning advertising and sales revenue right away.

Fizzy is probably the fastest growing Casual Games community on the web right now, but until this point, all of the games on Fizzy have been developed by 3RD sense. The new Developer Portal allows any Casual Game developer to start accessing the massive Fizzy audience and the marketing machine behind it. Just head on over to www.fizzy.com/developers, sign up and away you go. The portal includes documentation, game play tracking, revenue tracking, automated statements, technical support and personalised SDKs for game developers.

“We’ve spent a lot of time focussing on how to best generate revenue from Casual Games,” explains 3RD sense CEO, Colin Cardwell. “The developers get a very generous revenue share too, probably the best in the business.”

Unlike most other casual games portals, Fizzy now recognises the developers behind the games too, with developer profile pages and links to other games by the same developer.

“It can often be tough for the smaller Casual Game Developers to get distribution for their games and we should know, we are one.” says Colin, “Fizzy gives direct access to a proven market. The arrangement is non exclusive too, so this is going to revenue over and above developers are achieving elsewhere.”

Right now the portal is limited to Flash 8 Game Developers. Other development environments and versions of Flash will be supported soon and there are already a whole host of new features planned for.
