Fishlabs: New games studio for 3D mobile games ready to roll

Hamburg / Cannes, 14 February 2005 A top-class newcomer is joining the mobile entertainment software sector. This studio, the Hamburg-based game developer Fishlabs, can already look back on more than twelve years of experience in the area of 3D multimedia projects. Fishlabs positions itself as a developer and distributor of mobile 3D games on the highest technical level. "Our expertise lies in the development of groundbreaking 3D technologies and their integration into completely new mobile game experiences," says Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs. "With thrilling products, like the world's first 3D Multiplayer Java Games for mobile phones, we will further expand our leadership in this area in the course of the year," declares Schade.

On the occasion of the telecommunications fair 3GSM, the company announces that it will release a total of ten titles this year. Within the framework of an international cooperation with Sony Ericsson and Exit Games, the 3D multiplayer titles will be embedded worldwide in the telecommunications corporation's new mobile phones. "We are very pleased with this opportunity to work with strong partners such as Sony Ericsson," states Michael Schade. "We could not have wished for a better start in the world of mobile entertainment software."

Three products start off the line of mobile 3D games from the Fishlabs studio: the 3D shooter Robot AllianceTM, the 3D racing game MotoraverTM, and the action-packed 3D flight simulation Cloud CommanderTM. Besides their breathtaking 3D graphics, all titles boast extensive multiplayer features. Thanks to the multiplayer middleware Exit Games Neutron, gamers around the world can play against each other, no matter which mobile network they use.

With its line-up of 3D titles, the Hamburg-based enterprise Fishlabs is already one of the leading developers for mobile 3D entertainment. Fishlabs cooperates with partners such as Sony Ericsson and Exit Games, a middleware provider for mobile multiplayer games, and is significantly involved in shaping the future of mobile entertainment software. Fishlabs will release ten groundbreaking 3D mobile games in 2005, thus further strengthening its position on an international level as well.
