First Video Game Music Symphony Concert In UK To Celebrate Acclaimed "Headhunter" Video Game Score

Music by Award-winning British Composer Richard Jacques to be performed at London debut of Video Games Live™ on November 25th

MEDIA RELEASE

London, United Kingdom - November 20th, 2006 - Award-winning composer Richard Jacques ( www.richardjacques.com) today announced his music from the SEGA action-adventure video game HEADHUNTER will be performed by the English National Ballet Orchestra during the UK debut of Video Games Live ( www.videogameslive.com) at Hammersmith Apollo in London on November 25th. Jacques will also attend the game industry meet and greet during the pre-show festival open to all ticket holders. Tickets for the concert are now available at www.seetickets.com.

Featuring Jacques' signature combination of adrenaline-pumping, emotive orchestral composition and flair for writing memorable music-to-picture, HEADHUNTER was the first video game soundtrack to record at the world famous Abbey Road Studios' Studio One and with the A-list musicians of the London Session Orchestra.

Video Games Live features music from video games performed by top orchestras and choirs around the world, combining exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussionists and unique interactive segments to create an explosive one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.

Tommy Tallarico, co-creator of Video Games Live, said, "The main theme from HEADHUNTER is one of the greatest video game tunes ever written! For many UK gamers, Richard's music will be a highlight of our upcoming European debut."

Jacques' HEADHUNTER score was previously performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic during Video Games Live at the Hollywood Bowl to more than 11,000 fans of video games and orchestral music. Not only was Jacques' music selected for the world's largest video game music symphony concert, accompanied by cinematics on the big screen and laser light show, but given his expertise and knowledge of live orchestra Jacques was also asked to arrange and orchestrate the special retro Classic Arcade Medley featuring over 20 games from Pong to Donkey Kong including such classics as Dragon's Lair, Tetris, Frogger, Gauntlet, Space Invaders and Outrun. Furthermore, having scored several titles in the multi-million selling Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, Jacques was invited to arrange and orchestrate the Sonic medley, prompting high praise from Sonic creator Yuji Naka himself.

Richard Jacques commented, "It's great that VGL is bringing this unique concert experience to European audiences. I've been following the US shows from day one and last summer enjoyed the privilege of hearing my music performed at the Hollywood Bowl. However it will be an especially proud moment to have my music, which was originally recorded here in London, celebrated in front of a home crowd."

Continually in high demand from the world's top video game studios, Richard Jacques is currently writing the original musical scores for the Sony PlayStation 3 title EIGHT DAYS (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) and the Xbox 360 title CROSSFIRE (Eidos), among others.
