Networking organisation First Tuesday is to hold an event this Tuesday to showcase the UK games industry to its association of investors.

At the seminar six industry speakers will outline and discuss some of the key opportunities for the UK in 2008.

First Tuesday chief executive Christer Holloman explained: "Despite increased competitions from Asia the UK is still the home for hundreds of creative, talented and business-minded individuals and game companies and our network of investors are keen to speak to them."

And Marc Jackson, from Los Angeles-based Principal Videogame Finance Inc, added: "I believe Britain's independent game development community to be among the world's most innovative and creative, and this event allows me to connect with them and explore ways alternative financing solutions can help them excel in today's fast-moving games industry."

Keynote speakers will include Lizbeth Goodman, Professor of Creative Technology Innovation and Roger Walkden, CEO of AWOMO.

More information on the event, to be held at the Soho Hotel in London from 6pm on February 5, can be found on the First Tuesday web site.
