Extra Mile Studios sign-up

Glasgow-based developer is TIGA's latest recruit.

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced Extra Mile Studios as its newest member.

Extra Mile Studios is a developer of digital content, primarily games for PC, iPhone/iPad and console markets. Based in Glasgow, the company was formed in 2004 by a team experienced in developing games for the casual and family entertainment sectors. The company has worked on some of the biggest brands in the world including Bob the Builder, Wallace & Gromit, Teletubbies and Noddy.

Bobby Farmer, MD of Extra Mile Studios explains the company’s vision: “At Extra Mile we have a rock solid, tried and tested, tool chain which allows us to efficiently develop titles across multiple platforms. We have a deep expertise in creating games for the kids and the family/casual market. We are committed to forging long term relationships with our clients and delivering products of the highest standard.”

On joining TIGA Bobby stated: “I firmly believe that the UK is one of, if not, the best place in the world to develop games. We have a fantastically talented workforce that is passionate about making great games for all audiences. At Extra Mile we believe it is important to support TIGA.
