The EVO APAC 2010 Championship Series Tournament will take place from Saturday May 29 through to Sunday May 30 in Sydney, Australia.

The Evolution Championship Series (EVO) represents the largest and longest-running international fighting game tournament in the world. Home to the world’s most skilled gamers, EVO is an exhibition of skill as gamers and fans gather to honor the competitive spirit in an open format and determine a champion.

The Evolution Asia-Pacific (EVO APAC) tournament is an international extension of the EVO Championship Series. Organized in conjunction with ‘OzHadou’, a website dedicated to the Australian fighting game community, EVO provides an opportunity for gamers around the globe to meet on neutral ground and participate in the EVO experience.

The winner of the EVO APAC 2010 tournament will be awarded a paid trip to EVO 2010 taking place in July 2010 at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas USA.

Regarded as one of the world’s most esteemed Street Fighter™ players, Daigo “The Beast” Umehara has amassed a range of high profile tournament victories, with repeat SBO and EVO titles amongst them.
