EVE Online(R) Voted Best Game In The MMORPG.COM Reader's Choice Awards

CCP Games Wins in Each Nominated Category for 2005

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Reykjavik, Iceland - January 20, 2006 - MMORPG.COM, an independent game news portal dedicated to coverage of the MMORPG genre, announced that EVE Online was the winner in all four of its nominated categories for the 2005 Reader's Choice Awards, including Best Graphics, Favorite Company, Best PvP, and Best Game. The event follows the recent surge of accomplishments for CCP Games and EVE Online, which recently set the world PCU (Peak Concurrent Users) record at 22.020 following the release of its highly anticipated Red Moon Rising expansion.

"We simply cannot express our thanks to the community enough," said Nathan Richardsson, Senior Producer of EVE Online. "On a personal level, this is the most rewarding accomplishment that we, as a company and as lifelong gamers, could ever hope for, and we will continue to pour our hearts into delivering an even better gaming experience to our customers!"

More than 30,000 votes were cast in the MMORPG.COM Reader's Choice Awards for games competing in seven total categories. EVE Online was favored by voters over popular titles such as World of Warcraft, Everquest II, Lineage II, Star Wars Galaxies, Guild Wars, Dark Age of Camelot, and City of Heroes in crucial evaluation components of the genre that included Best Graphics and Best PvP (Player-versus-Player).

"To say we're pleased would be a gross understatement," said Magnus Bergsson, CMO of CCP Games. "The level of depth and sophistication in our intense PvP system, with all of the different ship configurations and fleet engagement scenarios, simply would not be possible without our single game universe standard, and we're thankful that the community recognizes and appreciates our approach!"

CCP Games was also voted Favorite Company among competition that included industry giants Blizzard Entertainment, Cryptic Studios, Mythic Entertainment, and Turbine Entertainment.

"The evolution of EVE Online continues in large part because of the feedback we receive from subscribers and the direct involvement of our team with the community," said Hilmar Pétursson, CEO of CCP Games. "Today is a special day for our company, and these awards are as much for EVE fans as they are for us."
