Eurogamer announces Expo return

GamesIndustry.biz Career Fair to take place alongside expanded consumer event

The Eurogamer Network has announced the return of the Eurogamer Expo this year, following the success of last year's debut event, at which several thousand gamers took the opportunity to play the key Christmas titles, many before they were released.

This time around the Expo will expand to cater for up to 14,000 gamers across two venues - London and Leeds - and will be sponsored by HMV, which will also be the official retail partner.

The Expo will debut in Leeds on October 27-28 at the Royal Armouries, followed by the London leg, taking place on October 30-31 at Old Billingsgate.

"I think we struck a chord with gamers and the games industry last year," said Rupert Loman, MD of the Eurogamer Network. "The formula was simple and we're sticking to it - great games to play, a great price for consumers and excellent value for exhibitors. We're delighted to have the support of HMV this year along with Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo again."

Tickets are on sale now at the official Expo website, priced GBP 6. The GamesIndustry.biz Career Fair will also return, and sit alongside the Eurogamer Expo as it did last year.
