ESL Pro Series

The first of the two extra live events to take place in London on April 30.

Cologne/London, 23rd of April, 2009 – The second season of the ESL Pro Series, the premiere league of eSports, is in full swing. At the end of the first season of this prestige tournament, two extra live events were promised. The so-called Intel Friday Night Games.

The date of the first of these events is now being announced. On April 30th, teams and players in the disciplines Call of Duty 4, Counter-Strike: Source, Quake 3 Arena and Trackmania Nations Forever will compete for important points to assist them in attaining tickets to the grand finals.

The event takes place at Ten Squared at City University based in Angel, Central London. The total prize money of the ESL Pro Series season II is £30.000.

The IPTV channel ESL TV will broadcast the matches live on http://tv.esl.eu/de/program/view/38807.

Beside the matches all visitors can experience the ESL Pro Series games at first hand in the free gaming area.

Intel Friday Night Games are the highlight of any Electronic Sports League online league. The ESL Pro Series in Germany has ten Intel Friday Night Games per season.

An Intel Friday Night Game consists of the top games played at the current playday in the league. The top game in different eSports disciplines from the str ategy, action and sports genre are being played. These games are commentated live for the audience of up to 2.000 spectators while the gamers sit in separate gamer cabins enabling them to showcase their best performance.
