Geomerics Reveals First Public Look at Enlighten Demo

Tuesday 5th February/...Geomerics, the Cambridge, UK based technology company which specialises in graphics software for games, entertainment and industry, has released its first demo showcasing the latest version of Enlighten, its revolutionary real-time lighting solution for next-generation consoles and PC.

Coming as part of the company's Game Developers Conference 2008 warm-up, it demonstrates the latest version of Enlighten, which has not been seen in public since its debut at last year's conference. Featuring an insight into how the dynamic radiosity engine can be easily manipulated in real-time, the teaser video also demonstrates how the unique technology will be a generational step in video game lighting techniques.

Gary Lewis, CEO, Geomerics comments "This video succinctly showcases exactly what we're trying to do with real-time radiosity. As we prepare for the most important conference for the global video game development community, we wanted to give people a taste of what Enlighten is going to be able to do and, crucially, how easy it will be to get the Enlighten SDK to do it."

Geomerics will be at Expo Suite 561 throughout GDC 2008, which runs from 18th to the 22nd February. To book a meeting please contact: info@geomerics.com

Enlighten is available for licensing for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. For more information please contact: sales@geomerics.com

Geomerics Ltd

Geomerics is an innovation-led company specialising in graphics software for the games industry and beyond. It is built on a combination of advanced in-house IP, a remarkable research team, and strong management experience. The company's first product is Enlighten. Enlighten radically transforms the way that lighting is handled in computer games. Instead of pre-baking the effects of global illumination into the scene they can now be computed at run time, allowing for fully dynamic lighting. This dramatically enhances realism as well as opening up a new world of creative possibilities for designers and artists.
