EIF announces two new sessions

Talks will focus on using games to improve education and the demographics of gamers' likes and dislikes

The Edinburgh Interactive Festival has announced two new sessions looking into the trends of gamers, and educational uses for games.

"Who Plays What and Why?" by Sean Dromgoole, CEO of Some Research and GameVision, will look into trends and demographics of games, discussing the different consumer tastes on each side of the Atlantic.

Graham Brown-Martin, founder and CEO of Handheldlearning.org, will host "Too Cool for School - A New Look at Games in Education". The session will look at how off-the-shelf games and consoles are being used to improve learning and teaching in the UK.

The event takes place in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, August 10-12.
