Early Birds Catching Worms at Sunrise

TrackMania Community Members Invited to Join the Beta Test

11 February 2005

Trackmania fans itching to get their driving gloves on the much-anticipated, turbo-charged sequel are being rewarded with an invitation from Digital Jesters and Nadeo to join the TrackMania Sunrise Beta test two months before the game's launch on the April 8th. Once again the existing community is being rewarded as only those who have the original TrackMania or TrackMania Powerup will be able to join.

"This was the most obvious way that we could reward the fanatical followers of the TrackMania series," explains Leo Zullo, Marketing Director, Digital Jesters. "There are members of that community that have supported the game from day one. It was only right that they get the opportunity to sample the Sunrise experience before anyone else."

To join the beta test owners of the original TrackMania game should visit: http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=23257&mode=thread&order=0

TrackMania Sunrise takes everything that made the original an instant online classic - amazing speed, ultra competitive multiplayer races and easily accessible tools to create and distribute outrageous tracks - and still manages to add more and more.

New sports cars that burn up the highways at breathtaking speed as they tear around gorgeous new environments including the beauty of the Pacific Coast and the South of France. The most insane stunt blocks ever send perilous track building to a whole new level with sweeping bends, winding tunnels and ramps designed to send you soaring. Two new play modes - Platform and Crazy - mean that even the most experienced of TrackManiacs will face a totally fresh racing experience.

TrackMania Sunrise is due for release on April 8th 2005 priced £29.99

Note to editors: Founded in 2003, Digital Jesters is a British-based publisher of computer and video games. Set up by the duo responsible for launching and establishing the Sudden Strike and Cossacks series of games in the UK, the firm's remit is simple: to source and publish the best games available. The company's commitment to originality resulting in it snapping up the original TrackMania game from French developer Nadeo and DJ's ethos of community development strategy resulted in the game becoming one of the sleeper hits of the year. A tie-in with record-breaking yachtswoman Ellen Macarthur for the firm's second release Virtual Skipper 3 ensured the game received widespread attention among the elusive non-gamer, and firmly placed the publisher on the map. The firm has enjoyed three top 10 PC hits, one of which is from the developers Cyanide, creators of Pro Rugby Manager and now DJ is expanding its operation to cover additional territories. It has also published its own comic book to widespread critical acclaim.
