Earache Extreme Metal Racing demo everywhere

Future's Official PlayStation 2 Magazine (OPS2) on sale now

Earache Records 'Chop Your Own Head Off' forthcoming compilation due out in July 10th

Stourbridge, England 16th June 2006, Metro 3D Publishing and Earache Records are pleased to announce that the nightmare is now out of the box, following hot on the heals of the Golden Gods Awards which took place on June 12 at London Koko club, where the game made its playstation 2 debut to a eager public, you can now play a cut down demo version of the game, (sadly without zombies), on this month's Official PlayStation 2 Magazine demo disk.

And if this isn't enough to wet your appetite next month Earache Records relive the hard school of raw extreme music, with a CD/DVD compilation big enough and brash enough to sabotage the stillness of the long summer days ahead. 'Chop Your Own Head Off' features 17 ruthlessly brutal metallic anthems from some of the most innovatively chaotic bands around. Its also includes the Earache Extreme Metal Racing demo 666, which includes zombies, for that extra fun and games.

This is an album that twists and turns through ear-shattering anthems, kick-started by an exclusive track from Deicide's forthcoming album 'The Stench of Redemption'. 'Homage for Satan' sets the compilation's frenetic tone then launches the listener in overdrive with versatile offerings from bands such as Cult of Luna, Mortiis and Biomechanical.

Aside from displaying some of the most hostile aural anthems 'Chop Your Own Head Off' projects 19 enigmatic videos to showcase the downright audacity of Earache's finest bands. With the previously unseen video for 'Unleash the Bastards' from Municipal Waste and the controversial and supremely savage video for The Haunted's track 'D.O.A' this DVD offends and captivates in equal measures, bolstered further by offerings from world-class directors, such as Shortie's 'Truth', directed by Shane Drake (Panic! At the Disco).

'Chop Your Own Head Off' projects groundbreaking audio tracks, vicious music videos and if that wasn't enough a PC playable demo for Earache's forthcoming 'Earache: Extreme Metal Racing' Playstation 2 game to shatter boredom and allow your favourite metal bands to race alongside each other to a violently chaotic metal soundtrack that includes Akercocke, The Berzerker and Decapitated.

This is a compilation album with a difference and every heavy metal fan's dream package all for a rock bottom value price!
