EA Tiburon ramps up work on new Superman title

Electronic Arts is advertising for a number of new positions at its Orlando studio, EA Tiburon, with a view to bulking up the team working on a game based on the Superman franchise.

This is the first major news to come out of the project since EA acquired the videogames rights to the entire franchise - including comic, TV series and movie rights - back in 2003.

Little detail has emerged about the game, but it's believed to be a third-person action title, and may tie in with the forthcoming return of the Superman franchise to cinema screens, which is currently planned to arrive in 2006.
