EA confirms 2003 release dates

EA's release schedule has undergone a myriad changes overnight, so we thought we'd give you the full rundown on everything interesting due out before the end of the year.

Starting in August, the rush of games begins with AVP Extinction on PS2 and Xbox on the 8th, followed on the 22nd by PS2 and Cube ports of Xbox action-adventure Dead to Rights.

Then in September the onslaught really begins, with a lot of big titles launching earlier than they traditionally do. On the 5th, the second BF1942 expansion, Secret Weapons of World War II, is due out, and then the 19th plays host to Io Interactive's Freedom Fighters on several platforms.

On September 26th though, it seems we're going to be at a loss for what to recommend. C&C Generals: Zero Hour is due, as is MOHAA expansion Breakthrough, NHL 2004 across several platforms, Sim City 4 expansion Rush Hour and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 on PS2, Xbox and Cube. That, we anticipate, will be the big one, but the others should be pretty solid too.

Not content with that, October brings us the multi-platform NBA Live 2004 on the 10th, FIFA 2004 on October 17th, and the long-awaited SSX 3 on October 24th, with Quidditch World Cup and The Sims Makin' Magic on the 31st.

Then into November we go, with The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and Total Club Manager 2004 both due out on November 7th. For these and hundreds of other up-to-date dates, be sure to check out our regularly updated release dates section.
