EA BRINGS ID SOFTWARE'S ORCS & ELVES TO MOBILES IN EUROPE

Mobile fantasy title from the creators of DOOM RPG™ coming to Europe in February 2007

GENEVA, Switzerland, 20 December, 2006 - Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) the world's leading interactive entertainment software company, today announced the European launch of Orcs & Elves, a first-person, turn-based fantasy RPG, created exclusively for mobile phones by id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment. Following the successful launch of the title across North America earlier this year, the award winning* title will be available across Europe from February 2007.

EA teamed up with id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment to create this original fantasy adventure that utilizes the next generation DOOM RPG graphics engine. By combining first-person action with a tactical turn-based mechanic, Orcs & Elves provides a unique portable gaming experience with rich gameplay and unparalleled depth. Created by id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment, the title will immerse mobile gamers in an all new fantasy universe where players explore an ancient Dwarven fortress riddled with legendary beasts and untold treasures with the help of a magical, talking wand.

"With Orcs & Elves we were able to take what was great about DOOM RPG, and bring tons of new features to the experience in a brand new world," said John Carmack, founder and technical director, id Software. "The pace of development in mobile gaming allows us to evolve by leaps and bounds each year, rather than stretched out over four years like a high end PC or console game."

"We are committed to evolving the mobile platform by working with the industry's finest developers and introducing fun and immersive game experiences to mobile gamers," said Javier Ferreira, VP European Publishing, EA Mobile. "Our collaboration with id Software and Fountainhead Entertainment to bring Orcs & Elves exclusively to mobiles is a testament to this and we're excited to share the experience with our European customers in February 2007."

Orcs & Elves will catapult gamers into a world of swords and sorcery with over five hours of action-packed gameplay. Players can wield eleven mystical weapons from flaming swords to powerful cross bows as they confront over thirty five vicious enemies - including trolls, dark elves and the undead. In this heroic quest to save a Dwarven citadel from the forces of darkness, mobile gamers will encounter secrets, treasure, devious traps, and mysterious characters.

*Orcs and Elves won Best RPG - Wireless Best of E3 2006 Award - IGN and 'Best Mobile Game' at the 2006 Leipzig Games Convention
