DreamQuest Software Donates Games to Entertain Troops

Video game business on a mission to provide their own R&R

For immediate release

June 20, 2005

Boulder, CO (June 20, 2005)- In their largest humanitarian campaign to date, DreamQuest Software recently announced their efforts to supply the United States Armed Forces overseas with some well-deserved relaxation.

From now until July 31st, the Colorado-based company is pledging to donate one "DQ Fun Pack", consisting of their award-winning card & board game software, deck of playing cards, and personalized thank you note, for every purchase made on their web site at www.dq.com.

As card and board games are one of the most popular of all military pastimes, the husband-and-wife owned company felt compelled to act.

"Americans appreciate the service and dedication shown by these courageous men and women," said Cynthia Williamson, vice president of DreamQuest Software. "We felt DreamQuest could make things more bearable by providing our troops a bit of enjoyable downtime."

Playable on Windows and mobile devices, including Palm and Pocket PC handhelds and select cell phones, the games also help troops connect with friends and loved ones. Their online play feature allows individuals to sit and chat at virtual gaming tables while they challenge each other on DreamQuest's free gaming site, www.dqzone.com.

"Laughing and playing cards with my brother online almost makes me forget I am thousands of miles away," explains Sergeant Washington with the 500th Signal Company.

The campaign spans from Memorial Day until July 31st and DreamQuest is aspiring to send 1000 Fun Packs to the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Office of the United States Armed Forces to be distributed to soldiers overseas.
