Disney Re-Launches Toontown Online's French Website

Several New Features Added, Including an Exciting New Community Zone

Paris - 14 December 2006 - The Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG) today re-launched Disney's Toontown Online France, www.toontown.fr, a critically acclaimed massively multiplayer online (MMO) role playing game for kids and families. Recognising the importance of community, the site re-launch introduces ToonClub, an exciting, new kid-friendly community zone where guests and subscribers can find weekly news updates, special events, competitions, downloadable goodies and more. The new site also provides a simpler, easy to use interface for registering or signing up for the game's free trial, enhanced customer support tools and more control for managing subscriber accounts.

Additionally, current and new subscribers will now receive a Toontown welcome pack, including a user guide, poster and stickers, as well as ToonClub Magazine, a quarterly members-only publication to be launched in spring 2007.

"The re-launched Toontown website introduces compelling new community content, as well as a refined and improved overall experience offering users a higher quality of service," commented Myles MacBean, vice president, technology and operations, the Walt Disney Internet Group Europe. "As an online subscription game, it's important that our customers are equipped with what they need to manage their accounts, and they now have those tools with the new site."

ToonClub offers players the latest information about the world of Toontown through news updates and archives, and allows them to take part in special events and competitions. Players also will be able to customise their PC with downloadable items, such as screensavers and messenger icons. In 2007, ToonClub will be expanded to include "Top Toons" player rankings, behind-the-scenes updates, detailed game guides and much more.

In addition, the new online account management tools available with the re-launched site allow users to manage their Toontown subscriptions more easily. Payment and purchase screens have been completely redesigned to be more intuitive and to provide greater support online for easier and faster customer service.

Since its launch in 2005, hundreds of thousands of French kids and parents have passed through the virtual gates of Toontown, exploring an amazing world full of hilarious adventures, challenging quests and classic Disney magic. In Toontown, everyone gets to create their very own cartoon character, and interact and unite with other players online in a quest to defeat the Cogs, evil humourless robots intent on turning Toontown into a boring corporate metropolis. Toons must use cartoon-style gags, such as squirting flowers and falling anvils, to make the Cogs laugh and banish them from Toontown.

Anyone can try Toontown free for three days at www.toontown.fr. Three subscription options are available (monthly, six-monthly and yearly).
