Canadian-based DHX Media has acquired 16.77 per cent of developer Tribal Nova

Canadian-based DHX Media has acquired 16.77 per cent of developer Tribal Nova.

Tribal Nova develops online games for video-on-demand broadband channels for children between the ages of three and twelve. The company recently launched its first channels in France and Canada, and will launch a US channel in early 2008.

"A key tenet in DHX Media's strategy is the exploitation of digital content online and we look forward to working with this new distribution channel parter," said DHX Media CEO and chairman Michael Donovan.

DHX Media is a television and online producer and distributor. It paid CAN 2 million in cash for its stake in Tribal Nova.
