Develop Liverpool to return next year

Inaugural event in the North attracted 160 delegates for day of sessions and networking

The organisers of this year's Develop Liverpool conference, which took place on November 5, will return next year following the success of the inaugural event.

According to Tandem Events over 160 people attended the Arena and Conference Centre in Liverpool, while the sessions included a keynote from Sony Worldwide Studios Europe president Michael Denny.

"It was a privilege to be invited to deliver the Keynote at this inaugural Develop conference in Liverpool," he said. "The organisation, location and facilities all added up to a great event. It was a pleasure to take part and I hope to see it becoming a regular fixture in the industry's calendar."

Andy Lane, MD of Tandem Events, added: "We wanted to re-create the Brighton event and deliver a conference that reflects the creativity and success of the UK's development community, so we're delighted that Develop in Liverpool was supported by the major players and we look forward to making it a regular date in the developer’s calendar."

Next year's one-day event will take place in the month of November once again, although no specific date has yet been confirmed. A GamesIndustry.biz interview with Denny at this year's conference is available now.
