DemonWare expands with key US appointment

Dublin-based network middleware specialist DemonWare has announced the latest senior addition to its team, with Art Santos joining the company as US director of sales, based out of the company's Los Angeles offices.

Santos, who was formerly part of the team that launched and supported GameSpy's middleware program, will be heading up all of DemonWare's commercial development activities in North America.

"Art brings a wealth of middleware experience to our West Coast team," according to DemonWare CEO Dylan Collins. "He knows what developers and publishers want from middleware and how to support them throughout their game cycle."

"His networking experience is second to none and he has a real passion for what can be done when the right team gets the right netcode," he continued. "He is a huge asset for DemonWare and we are glad to add his experience and credentials to the team."

DemonWare provides a suite of networking tools for game developers and publishers, ranging from middleware for handling multiplayer lobby services to netcode middleware for PS2, PSP, Xbox, PC and next-generation hardware platforms.
